ANDERSON, Ind. – The Earlham College women's basketball team fell to Anderson University 86-74 on Saturday afternoon.
Sarah Riley came off the bench to lead the Quakers with 18 points, shooting 3-for-4 on 3-pointers, and eight rebounds.
Amari Wright scored 17 points with nine assists, seven rebounds, one block and one steal.
Berkley Shelton brought in a team-high12 rebounds with 12 points and four assists.
Bella Aguero reached double-digits for the first time in her career, scoring 10 points with a perfect 3-for-3 mark from behind the arc.
Trailing 12-9, Anderson went on an 8-0 run to take the lead with just under three minutes in the first quarter. Earlham then responded with a 7-0 run to lead 19-17 after 10 minutes of play. Earlham continued its run into the second quarter, leading 24-17 with eight minutes left in the frame.
After Anderson took the lead with four minutes remaining in the half, Riley hit a jumper with 42 seconds remaining to give EC a 33-32 lead heading into the break.
Trailing 37-33, Earlham put together a 5-0 run to lead 38-37, but the Ravens went on to lead 51-41 with just under two minutes remaining in the third quarter.
The Quakers host Transylvania University on Wednesday evening at 7 pm.
