CARMEL, Ind. – On Monday, the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference named three Quakers as Athletes of the Week for the past week of competition.
Mackenzie Davis was named Women's Tennis Athlete of the week after she picked up two wins as the Quakers opened their season with a win at Olivet on Saturday. The sophomore won at No. 1 singles 6-2, 6-2, and paired with
Paige Hobbs for a 6-2 win at No.1 doubles.
Dev Agrawal was honored as Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week for taking a dominant 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 2 singles at Olivet on Saturday. In doubles play, Agrawal joined Pedro Conci Rodriguez with a 7-5 loss in the No. 3 spot. The Quakers won their spring opener 4-3 in Michigan.
Prynces Robinson earned the title of Jumper of the Week after winning the triple jump at Anderson on Saturday, posting a leap of 10.78 meters in the event. The mark put Robinson atop the HCAC leaderboard just three weeks out from the conference championship. Robinson also placed fourth in the long jump, reaching 4.76 meters.
The Quaker tennis teams will be back in action on February 21st with a tri-match against Brescia University and Kentucky Wesleyan College. Track and field competes again next weekend at the DePauw Indiana DIII Invitational.
