Anderson, Ind. – The Earlham College men's tennis team fell at Anderson University 5-2 on Sunday evening.
Ryan Fox scored a win at No.1 singles 4-6, 6-2, 6-3, and
Dreek Saha won at No.5 singles 6-1, 6-0.
Dev Agrawal and
Juan Diego Pachon Hernandez scored a win at No.3 doubles with a 7-5 final score.
On Saturday at Transylvania, the men's squad scored a 5-2 win over
Fox took down the 2024 HCAC Player of the Year with a 6-1, 6-2 win at No.1 singles, while
Ivan Wularu and Pachon Hernandez scored wins against All-HCAC players from last season at No.3 and No.4 singles.
Dreek Saha won at No.5 singles 6-0, 6-3 as the sophomore has dropped just three singles games in conference play.
Alonso Rivera also scored a win in exhibition play 6-3.
The women's team fell 5-2 at the Pioneers.
Vanessa Akuaku continued to impress with a 6-1, 6-0 win at No.1 singles.
Lawrencia Manu also scored a win with a 6-3, 7-6 win at No.2 singles. Earlham's No.3, No.4 and No.5 matches all went to a third set.
The Quakers are slated to host Otterbein University, Berea College and Wittenberg University at the Gene Hambrick Varsity Tennis Center on Saturday starting at 11 am.
