ANDERSON, Ind. – The Earlham College women's tennis team opened conference play with a 4-3 win at Anderson University on Saturday.
Vanessa Akuaku scored a win at No.1 singles 7-6, 7-5 to lead the way.
Paige Hobbs also picked up a singles win with a 6-1, 6-3 win at No.5 singles and
Ava Marroni won 6-0, 6-2 at No.6 singles.
In doubles play, Akuaku and
Natalee McCann scored a win at No.2 doubles, and Marroni and
Mackenzie Davis won No.3 doubles 6-1.
The Quakers travel to Georgia next week for four matches over Spring Break.
