GREENCASTLE, Ind. – The Earlham College track and field team competed at the Indiana DIII Invitational hosted by DePauw University on Saturday.
The women's team scored 42 points to finish in sixth place while the men finished in eighth place.
Cleo Saltz scored a second-place finish in the women's 10,000 meter run, clocking a time of 39:16.90. Saltz was the highest finishing HCAC competitor in the race.
Tommy Reddick finished in second place in the men's long jump after posting a mark of 6.88 meters. Reddick finished just .12 meters behind the winner from Manchester.
Berkley Shelton scored a second place finish in the javelin throw with a mark of 32.52 meters. Ava Walters scored a sixth-place finish with a 31.31 meter throw, and
Sofie Kurrasch finished in eighth place. Shelton also scored in the shot put with a heave of 10.12 meters.
Isa Slone finished third in the long jump with a mark of 5.1 meters. Slone was second among HCAC competitors.
Prynces Robinson scored third in the triple jump with her leap of 10.58 meters to lead all HCAC athletes.
Alex Ball cleared 1.43 meters to finish in fourth place in the high jump.
Connor Smith took seventh place in the javelin throw with a mark of 42.68 meters.
The men's 4x100 relay team of
Robert Griffin-Walker,
Manny Smith, Elijah Whittaker and Donovan Pruitt scored a fifth-place finish with a finishing time of 44.52.
Earlham is slated to compete at Otterbein University on Saturday its the final meet before the conference championship.
