RICHMOND, Ind. – On Tuesday, Earlham College senior
Mitchell Roether was named to both the American Baseball Coaches Association and D3Baseball All-Region teams for Region 8.
Roether placed on the second team for D3Baseball as a first baseman, and earned a spot on the third team with the ABCA at first base.
Roether concluded his illustrious career with the Quakers this season with a career-high 1.208 OPS. The senior hit .380 with 11 doubles and 10 home runs. Roether led the HCAC Regular Season Champions with 47 RBI and 93 total bases. In the HCAC Tournament, Roether belted his 27th career home run to take sole possession of first place in program history for career long balls.
With his success at the plate, Roether was also granted a free pass at his highest career rate. The first baseman was walked 33 times, the most in the conference, which contributed to his HCAC-leading .529 on base percentage.
The Quakers concluded their season at the HCAC Tournament earlier this month after winning the regular season championship with an 18-4 conference mark. The Quakers posted an overall record of 27-13 for their best mark since 2022.
