RICHMOND, Ind. – The Earlham College women's soccer team picked up its first win of the season with a 3-0 result over Ohio Christian University on Tuesday afternoon in Matlack-Messer Stadium.
Julie Gatto kicked off the scoring with her first career goal in the 24th minute of play with an assist from
Kiki Wallis. After taking a 1-0 lead into the halftime break,
Natalie Beckes delivered a long-distance strike in the 52nd minute.
Wallis put away her own goal in the 59th minute of play after putting strike on a free ball from a Quaker corner kick.
As a team, the Quakers took 33 shots with 21 targets on frame. Earlham outshot the Trailblazers 33-0.
Diane Scalise led the Quakers with eight total shots.
Earlham will be back in action next Wednesday at home against Muskingum University. Kick off is scheduled for 4 pm.
