RICHMOND, Ind. – The Earlham College men's soccer team began 2026 with a 2-1 win over Indiana University East in the Richmond Darby on Tuesday afternoon.
Rhoi Phulusa led the offense in the season opener, taking three of the team's 13 shots.
John De La O opened the scoring with a goal in the 26th minute with an assist on a cross back from
Eduardo Martinez.
Markku Laukkanen collected a rebound on a corner kick in the 71st minute. The junior then took the ball into the box before placing a shot far-post for the deciding goal.
The Red Wolves scored a consolation goal in the 84th minute of action.
Earlham held the advantage in shots 13-5, and placed nine attempts on target.
The Quakers will be back in action Friday against Heidelberg University in Matlack-Messer Stadium at 5 pm.
