N. MANCHESTER, Ind. — The Earlham College men's tennis team won its second straight match on Thursday as the Quakers defeated
Manchester College 8-1.
Like Tuesday's win by the same score over
Wilmington, Earlham took all of the doubles matches and won five of the six singles contests.
Henry Levin and
Mike Von Vogt won 8-3 at No. 1 doubles over Piero Ridoutt and Josh Walker. At No. 2 doubles,
Aaron Weeden and
Josue Rivera beat Jeremy Patterson and Collin Bishopp 8-6.
Nabil Parkar and
Johnny Kauffmandefeated Dustin Schutte and Kyle Watson 8-5 at No. 3 doubles.
In singles, Levin won 6-0, 6-0 over Ridoutt at No. 1. Von Vogt beat
Walker 6-4, 6-4 at No. 2. Weeden was victorious 6-3, 6-1 over Bishopp at No. 4.
Rivera won 6-2, 7-5 over Schutte at No. 5, while
Steven Gotama defeated Watson 6-2, 6-0.
Earlham (2-0) faces
Franklin College and
Goshen College in its next dual matches on Oct. 4. The Franklin contest on the EC Courts at 9 a.m. The match with
Goshen is scheduled for at 4 p.m.
