RICHMOND, Ind. – The Earlham College tennis teams opened their season with losses to IU East on Sunday afternoon in the Gene Hambrick Varsity Tennis Center. 

The Earlham men's team fell 5-2 to the Red Wolves. Dev Agrawal scored for the Quakers at the No.3 singles position, taking a 5-7, 6-4, 10-5 win. Ashwyn Prochnow also picked up a point with a 6-4, 6-4 win at No.5 singles. 

Earlham's women fell 7-0. Antonia Dean played No.1 singles for the first time in her collegiate career, and was defeated 6-1, 6-2. Ava Marroni played No.2 singles with a 6-2, 6-0 loss. 

The women's team will continue its fall schedule at the ITA Regional Tournament on September 25-27 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The men's regional tournament is scheduled for the following weekend, October 1-4 in Indianapolis.
