Quakers Win Second Match in a Row

Box Score LATROBE, Pa. — The Earlham College field hockey squad won its second straight match on Sunday as the Quakers defeated Wells College 2-0.

The contest, which was played at St. Vincent College, was scoreless in the first half.

Chrissy Sollenberger gave the Quakers the lead with a goal at 38:26 with an assist being credited to Nicole VanScyoc.

Cassie Gage scored her first goal of the season for the Quakers at 61:27 to make it 2-0.

Earlham had a 28-2 advantage in shots, while holding an 8-0 margin in penalty corners.

Goalkeeper Emma Treece needed to just make one save for the Quakers.

The Quakers (2-1) return home Saturday to face the College of Wooster. The North Coast Athletic Conference match on Comstock Field begins at 1 p.m.
