GRANVILLE, Ohio — The Earlham College field hockey team dropped a 7-0 North Coast Athletic Confernce decision to Denison University on Tuesday afternoon.
"We came out flat today," Earlham Head Coach Jill Butcher said. "Once we got going, we did some nice things."

The Big Red (4-8, 3-4) scored four times in the first period and three in the second.
Earlham goalkeeper
Emma Treece (Kettering, OH, Kettering Fairmont) had 14 saves.
Burns (Beachwood, OH, Orange ) had a defensive save, which was her fourth of the season. Denison led 31-2 in shots and 9-0 in penalty corners.
The Quakers (2-9, 0-8) return to action at home Saturday against the College of Wooster. The NCAC match on Comstock Field begins at 1 p.m.
