RICHMOND, Ind. — The
Earlham College men's tennis team won its second straight match on Thursday as the Quakers defeated
Manchester College 7-2 in non-conference contest on the EC Tennis Courts.
The Quakers won two of the doubles contests.
Brad Maisey and
David Bluestein beat Piero Ridoutt 8-0 at No. 2, while
Johnny Kauffman and
George Bouchard won 8-1 over Chris Thomas and Jose Mireles, Jr., at No. 3.
In singles action, Maisey defeated Josh Walker 6-3, 6-1 at No. 1.
Aaron Weeden won the closest contest of the day with a 2-6, 6-3, 1-0 (11-9) decision over Ridoutt at No. 3.
Kauffman won 6-2, 6-2 over Bishopp at No. 4, while Bluestein picked up a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Thomas at No. 5. At No. 6,
Steven Gotama won 6-2, 6-2 over Mireles, Jr.
Earlham (7-10) visits
Central State University on Friday. The season finale for the Quakers starts at 4 p.m.
