EC Falls to Tigers

Box Score RICHMOND, Ind. — The Earlham College field hockey team continued a stretch of home matches on Tuesday as the Quakers faced DePauw University in a North Coast Athletic Conference match.

The Tigers (3-1, 2-0) won 6-1 on Comstock Field. It was the fourth contest in a five-match run at home for the Quakers.

Earlham's score came at 68:00 when Kate Birdsall (Georgetown, ME, Morse ) got past the DePauw goalkeeper for her second goal of the season. Bailey Heinzen (Glenview, IL, Glenbrook South) assisted on the play.

Goalkeeper Emma Treece (Kettering, OH, Kettering Fairmont) had 12 saves for the Quakers.

The Quakers (1-3, 0-2) return to action during Homecoming Weekend on Saturday against Oberlin College. The NCAC affair on Comstock Field begins at 2 p.m.
