Box Score RICHMOND, Ind. — The Earlham College field hockey team honored three seniors on Thursday as the Quakers fell to DePauw University 5-0 at Darrell Beane Stadium.
Kate Birdsall (Georgetown, ME, Morse ), Christine Ferguson (Montclair, NJ, Montclair) and Emma Treece (Kettering, OH, Kettering Fairmont) were recognized for their contributions to the Earlham field hockey program in a ceremony after the contest.
It took two days to complete the North Coast Athletic Conference match as thunder storms forced the postponement on Wednesday at the 38:18 mark.
The Tigers (15-1, 12-0) scored in the first half on Wednesday and added another score just before play was stopped.
When the action resumed on Thursday, DePauw scored three times to finish the match.
Treece ended the contest with 22 saves.
The Quakers (0-14, 0-12) travel to Bethany College in West Virginia for a non-conference affair on Saturday. The match gets underway at 1 p.m.
