Box Score DELAWARE, Ohio — The Earlham College field hockey team gave up a second half goal on Wednesday as the Quakers fell 1-0 at Ohio Wesleyan University.
The Bishops (6-4, 5-3) scored the the 68:00 mark of the North Coast Athletic Conference match.
"This was our best game that we've played so far this season," Earlham Head Coach Jill Butcher said. "I am proud of how hard we fought on every possession."
Earlham goalkeeper Emma Treece (Kettering, OH, Kettering Fairmont) had eight saves for the Quakers. Kate Birdsall (Georgetown, ME, Morse ) and Bailey Heinzen (Glenview, IL, Glenbrook South) each had a defensive save.
"We played with more confidence and our positive energy served us well," Butcher said. "It was nice to have Emma Treece back in goal."
The Quakers (0-10, 0-8) are on the road this Friday. The NCAC match at Kenyon College begins at 4:30 p.m.
