Box Score LEXINGTON, Ky. — The Earlham College field hockey team traveled to Kentucky on Wednesday to face Transylvania University.
The Pioneers won the non-conference affair 2-0 with a goal in each half.
The Quakers led 10-9 in shots and 11-9 in penalty corners.
"We let one slip through our hands today," Earlham Head Coach Jill Butcher said. "We outshot Transylvania and took more corners than they did, however, we just can't find the back of the net."
Earlham goalkeeper Helen Titcomb (East Sandwich, MA, Sturgis Charter) had six saves for the Quakers.
The Quakers (0-8) return to action at home on Saturday against Denison University. The North Coast Athletic Conference affair in Darrell Beane Stadium begins at 10:30 a.m.
