RICHMOND, Ind. — The Earlham College field hockey team opened play in the North Coast Athletic Conference on Saturday as Kenyon College defeated the Quakers 5-0.

The Ladies (1-2, 1-0) scored twice in the first half and added three goals in the second period in the contest at Darrell Beane Stadium.

Goalkeeper Emma Treece (Kettering, OH, Kettering Fairmont) had 17 saves for the Quakers.

Earlham (0-2, 0-1) returns to the turf at home on Wednesday against Wittenberg University. The NCAC contest starts at 5 p.m.
