The Quakers went on top 3-2 in the third behind a two-run homer from Ted Williams (Harper Woods, MI, Grosse Pointe North). It was the third of the year for Williams and 10th of his career.

The Grizzlies tied the contest in the bottom of the third to make it 3-3.

In the fourth, Earlham scored three times to lead 6-3. Chris Tillery (Carmel, IN, Carmel) had a RBI double and Ward followed with a triple that scored Tillery. Ward later scored on an error by Franklin.

A three-run rally in the top of the ninth by the Quakers sent the game into extra innings.

Hayes had a two-run double to make it 9-8 and McFarland tied the contest with a double that scored Hayes.

Ward and Hayes led the Quakers with three hits apiece.

Franklin scored the winning run in the 11th off Garrett York (New Castle, IN, New Castle), who is now 0-2 after he entered the game in the seventh.
