RICHMOND, Ind. — The Earlham College field hockey team opened play in the North Coast Athletic Conference on Friday as the Quakers fell to Kenyon College 4-1.

The Ladies (3-2, 1-0) scored twice in the first half to lead 2-0 by the intermission.

In the second half, Kenyon made it 3-0 before the Quakers got on the Darrell Beane Stadium scoreboard.

Megan Hut scored an unassisted goal for the Quakers at 42:44 to cut the deficit to 3-1. Kenyon scored the final goal at 54:30.

Earlham goalkeeper Helen Titcomb had 18 saves for the Quakers.
The Quakers (2-1, 0-1) entertain Denison University on Saturday at noon.
