RICHMOND, Ind. â€" The Earlham College women's tennis squad fell 6-3 to Manchester University on Sunday.'

The Spartans (3-2, 2-1) had a 3-0 advantage after the doubles competition of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference affair  on the EC Courts.

Earlham had three victories in singles. Olivia Engle defeated Kara Gilley 6-2, 6-3 at No. 1.

Jessica Childs won 7-5, 7-5 over Megan Buckner at No. 3, while Vesta Davis took care of Alaina Buckner 5-7, 6-0, 1-0 (10-8) at No. 6.

The Quakers (2-2, 0-2) are at Transylvania University on Wednesday. The HCAC contest gets underway at 4 p.m.
