Box Score CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — The Earlham College field hockey team exploded for four goals in the second half on Saturday to post a 5-1 victory over Wells College at Wilson College.
Natasha Jacobs scored late in the first half at 32:41 with an assist from Megan Hut before Wells tied the match by intermission at 1-1.
In the second half, Emilia Asante had a goal at 41:35 with an assist from Bailey Heinzen to give the Quakers the lead for good.
At 48:25, Jacobs added her second goal with an assist from Neo Khalema. Kaitlyn Brunner scored at 63:48 with an assist from Tory Posey.
Hut scored the final goal of the contest at 66:32 with Helena Flores assisting on the play.
The Quakers led 10-6 in shots, while Wells had an 11-10 edge in penalty corners.
Earlham goalkeeper Helen Titcomb had five saves for the Quakers.
Earlham (1-0) is at Wilson College on Sunday for a match at 10 a.m.
