RICHMOND, Ind. â€" The Earlham College men's tennis team remained unbeaten in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference after beating Hanover College 9-0.
The Quakers are 12-6 overall, 6-0 in the conference and still ranked 10th in the most recent Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division III Men's Central Region Poll.
Earlham swept the doubles competition from the Panthers (3-10, 1-5).
Anton Bartashevich and Jack Ventura-Cruess defeated Reid Clark and Jordan Myers 8-1 at No. 1.
In the second position, Hank Levin and Phillip Locklear took care of Brian Clark and Joshua Ruse 8-1.
David Bluestein and Matthew Foster teamed up to beat Nathan Jones and Andrew Laubner 8-3 at No. 3.
The singles competition featured Bartashevich besting Reid Clark 6-1, 6-0 at the top of the lineup.
Locklear beat Brian Clark 6-1, 6-0 at No. 2. In the third spot, Levin defeated Myers 6-1, 6-1.
At No. 4, Ventura-Cruess blanked Ruse 6-0, 6-0. Scott Lawrence beat Laubner 6-0, 6-0 at No. 5.
Bluestein recorded a 6-0, 6-0 win over Derek Kippenbrock at No. 6.
The Quakers celebrate Senior Day on Sunday against Franklin College. The HCAC affair on the EC Courts begins at noon.
