Box Score RICHMOND, Ind. — A penalty stroke was the difference on Sunday afternoon as the Earlham College field hockey team dropped a 3-2 decision to Oberlin College.
At 71:14 of the North Coast Athletic Conference affair, Oberlin's Maureen Coffey converted on a penalty stroke to give her team the victory in overtime.

The Quakers opened a 2-0 advantage by halftime in Darrell Beane Stadium.
Heather Brock scored her first goal of the season at the 12:56 mark with an assist from Kaitlyn Brunner.
Later in the period, Megan Hut put the Quakers up by two goals with an unassisted score at 24:53.
In the second half, Oberlin (1-4, 1-3) scored twice at 43:44 and 47:49 to tie the match.
Earlham led 19-13 in shots and 20-18 in penalty corners.
Goalkeeper Brynna Foreman had six saves for Earlham.
The Quakers (0-7, 0-4) are on the road this Wednesday at DePauw University. The NCAC contest gets underway at 6:30 p.m.
