Box Score GREENCASTLE, Ind. - Freshman Maite Turlings scored her first goal of the season, but four first-half goals from the Tigers gave DePauw a 10-1 win over the Earlham College field hockey team in North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) competition on Wednesday.
DePauw's Paige Berlinger scored the first two goals of the game including the opening goal 1:36 into the first half.
Trailing 4-0 at half, the Quakers surrendered another goal at the 40:28 mark, but bounced back as junior Kaitlyn Brunner found Turlings for a goal in the 43rd minute. The Tigers would score the game's final five goals.
Senior goalkeeper Kate Korobkina made a career-high 14 saves in the loss.
Earlham dips to 3-7 on the season and 2-5 in the NCAC. The Quakers begin the second half of conference play with a home game, slated for 11 a.m., against Ohio Wesleyan on Saturday.
