RICHMOND, Ind. â€" The Earlham College men's tennis team survived cold and windy conditions on Wednesday as the Quakers posted a 7-2 win over Hanover College.
Earlham led 3-0 after the doubles action in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference affair against the Panthers (4-9, 0-6).
Vitalii Stadnyk and Jack Ventura-Cruess defeated Reid Clark and Nolan Carrico 8-0 at No. 1.
In the two spot, Gleb Babikov and Vojislav Tatarevic won 8-4 over Brian Clark and Alex Kitchel.
At No. 3, Adam Schwartz and Erekle Tsamalashvili beat Douglas Seals and Jon Craig 8-3.
In the singles competition, the Quakers won four contests.
Stadnyk won a 6-2, 6-4 match from Brian Clark at No. 1. Babikov took care of Reid Clark 6-3, 6-3 at No. 2.
Ventura-Cruess posted a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Nolan Carrico at No. 3. Tatarevic won by the same score over Seals in the fourth position.
The Quakers (6-9, 3-2) entertain HCAC foe Defiance College on Friday at 4 p.m.
