INDIANAPOLIS â€" The Earlham College men's tennis team had its season come to an end on Sunday as the Quakers fell 6-1 to the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament championship match.
The Quakers trailed 2-1 after the doubles action and the Engineers (13-5) won four singles contests to take the title at the West Indy Racquet Club.
Earlham's win came at No. 1 doubles as Vitalii Stadnyk and Jack Ventura-Cruess beat Brandon Benedict and Georges Adam 8-4.
The loss puts Earlham at 11-10 for the spring as the Quakers also had their four-year HCAC Tournament championship run come to an end.
