Box Score RICHMOND, Indiana – The Earlham College field hockey team battled Denison University for over 65 minutes, but the Big Red broke through the Quakers' defense with the game's only goal with 4:20 to play in regulation for a 1-0 victory in North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) action on Wednesday.
Denison's Michelle Kabaira found space down the far side of Darrell Beane Stadium and sent a cross to Charlotte Godfrey in Earlham's strike circle. Godfrey fired a low shot past the outstretched leg of Earlham goalkeeper, sophomore Camille van der Vaart, for the game-winning goal.
