MIAMISBURG, Ohio -- Earlham College men's tennis took a split out of a pair of matches on Saturday, defeating Hope College, 6-3, before falling to Wittenberg University, 5-0.
Joaquin Lerner and Gordian Bruns each came away with two victories on the day. Lerner posted a 7-6, 6-2 win over Hope's Paul Washington at no. 4 singles, before teaming up with with Dan Garcia for an 8-7 triumph at no. 2 doubles. Bruns notched a 6-1, 4-6, 10-5 win at no. 5 singles over Hope's Matt Henkel, and paired up with Abdul Khurshid for a victory at no. 3 doubles.
Earlham men's tennis returns to action on Tuesday, March 3, when it travels to Greencastle, Indiana, to face DePauw University.
