Box Score RICHMOND, Indiana – Earlham College men's lacrosse battled hard in a bid to chase down visiting Wilmington College (Ohio), but the Maroon and White fell short of its goal in a 10-7 loss to the Ohio Quakers on Wednesday night at Darrell Beane Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Earlham jumped on the scoreboard first with a goal by Sam Sargent just 1:59 into the game, off an assist from Dan O'Donnell.
- Wilmington rattled off the next six goals, including three by Andrew Miller, to take a 6-1 lead at the 5:54 mark of the second quarter.
- Earlham closed the second quarter with an unassisted score by Sargent with 4:51 remaining in the half, cutting the margin to 6-2 at the intermission.
- After a Wilmington goal extended the Ohio Quakers' lead to 7-2, Earlham got back-to-back goals from Sargent and O'Donnell to pull to within three, 7-4, with 7:48 showing in the third quarter.
- Wilmington and Earlham traded goals in the back-half of the third quarter, and the Maroon and White went into the final stanza still trailing by three, 8-5.
- Another Wilmington goal early in the fourth stretched the WC lead to 9-5. However, Earlham answered with goals from Cole Burrell and Joel Dominguez to get the Maroon and White to within two, 9-7, with 7:24 remaining.
