Box Score RICHMOND, Indiana – Earlham College baseball pounded Kalamazoo College pitchers for 10 hits, but the Quakers allowed six unearned runs and dropped a 6-4 decision to the visiting Hornets in Sunday's closer to a three-game series at Sadler Stadium.
Kalamazoo's victory gave the series to the Hornets, two games to one, after the teams split a doubleheader on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Earlham scored single runs in the third and fourth innings, with Isaiah Shake singling home Cameron McCabe in the third and Brian Pincura scoring in the fourth on McCabe's sacrifice fly to right field.
Kalamazoo scored all six of its runs in the top of the fifth. A combination of two hits and two Quaker errors allowed two runs to score, tying the game at 2-2. Noah Hecht belted a grand slam home run later in the frame, extending the Hornets' lead to 6-2.
The Quakers rallied with a single run in the seventh, after Marc Gendreau reached on a single and eventually crossed on a wild pitch. Danny Dopp crushed a solo home run to straightaway center field with one out in the ninth, closing out the scoring in the 6-4 loss.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
Gendreau and Easton Embry each had two hits, with Embry stroking doubles in the sixth and eighth innings.
Earlham starter Colin Greve took the hard-luck loss, after striking out four Hornet batters, walking just one, and allowing only four hits.
K-zoo's Blake Bean went 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI to pace the Hornets at the plate. Starter Jack Tagget earned the win for his five-inning performance, scattering six hits and striking out six Earlham batters.
