RICHMOND – The Earlham College women's soccer team honored its seniors with a win on Senior Day during Homecoming weekend on campus. Senior
Jenna Hoeh scored the winning goal in the 16th minute of play to lift the Quakes over Franklin College.
The Quakers improved to 4-6-2 (2-4 HCAC) while the Grizzlies fell to 2-10-1 (0-5-1 HCAC).
Hoeh scored the sole goal of the contest in the 16th minute with an assist from
Mallory Smith. Smith led the Quakers in shots on the afternoon with two on goal.
The Quakers overcame a shot deficit of 17-4, but tallied three corner kicks to zero from Franklin.
Makayla Hurey collected seven saves in goal.
Earlham honored its four seniors during pregame festivities. Hoeh, along with
Eva Lyon,
Mollie Lyon, and
Tess Cunningham received recognition for their contributions to the women's soccer program.
Earlham will continue its season at home on Wednesday against Transylvania University. Kickoff is slated for 3:30 pm in Matlack-Messer Stadium.
