FINDLAY, Ohio – The Earlham College track and field team began its competition season at the Oiler Opener hosted by the University of Findlay on Friday afternoon.
The teams combined for eight points against competition spanning all three divisions of the NCAA.
After winter break, Earlham will return to action at the Larry Cole Invitational hosted by Ohio Northern University on January 20.
David Turner recorded 11.52 on two separate jumps on the evening for his top mark in the triple jump. The sophomore finished in fifth place overall in the event.
Liv Kyrk scored a seventh-place finish in the women's high jump after clearing 1.37 meters on her opening attempt.
Madison Huelskamp jumped 9.46 meters on her second jump of the day, the mark was good enough to earn seventh place in the meet and add two points for the Quakers.
