Greencastle, Ind. – The Earlham College track and field team competed in the DePauw Indiana DIII Invitational on Saturday.
The women's team finished in seventh place with 12 points scored while the men scored 22 points to finish in eighth place.
The Quakers will be back on the track next weekend at Mount St. Joseph University.
Here are some of the top performances of the day for EC:
Men's 1500 meter run: Freshman
Connor Del Carmen scored a second-place result in the mile run with a finishing time of 4:04.25.
Women's triple jump:
Madison Huelskamp scored the best finish of the day for the Quaker women with a third-place result in the long jump. She recorded a mark of 9.45 meters in the event.
Men's 5000 meter run: Del Carmen reached the podium for a second time on the day with a third-place in the 5k. His finishing time was 15:10.20.
Women's 100 meter dash:
Lyndsey Hermes recorded an all-time personal best in the short sprint with a time of 13.02, she earned sixth place for her efforts.
Men's triple jump:
Blessed Shumba recorded a leap of 12.17 meters in the triple jump to finish in fifth place in the event.
Women's long jump: Huelskamp recorded another points-paying result with a sixth-place finish in the long jump with a leap of 4.74 meters.
Men's high jump: Shumba scored points in the high jump by clearing 1.74 meters for a seventh-place finish.
Men's discus:
Conner Hubbard recorded a throw of 39.07 meters in the discus to finish the event in seventh place.
