LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Earlham College women's soccer team fell to Transylvania University 2-1 on the road on Wednesday evening in HCAC competition.
The Quakers fell to 3-9-2 (2-7-1 HCAC) while the Pioneers improved to 11-4-1 (6-2 HCAC).
Isabel Slone put the Quakers on top in the 20th minute of play with a goal assisted by
Alyssa Jennings. The freshman scored on one of three shots on the day for EC.
Trailing 1-0 at halftime, the Pioneers scored in the 68th and 81st minutes to take the lead.
Earlham was outshot 18-3 on the evening.
Reigning HCAC Defensive Player of the Week,
Makayla Hurey collected eight saves in the goal.
The Quakers continue play on Saturday at Franklin College at 1 pm.
