Richmond, Ind. – On Monday, the Earlham College athletic department announced that Associate Head Baseball Coach Mike Coduto will be departing from the program to become the next Head Coach at Willamette University.

Coduto has been with the Quakers for eight seasons, and will be the next head coach at Willamette University. During his tenure, Earlham has won 176 games with a 60% winning percentage.

"First, I want to thank Head Coach Steve Sakosits for his leadership and for the tremendous opportunity almost 8 years ago to join the Earlham Baseball program." Said Coduto on his departure."It is because of people like Steve that's made Earlham so special for me and my family over the years."

"I also want to thank the Sadlers for making mine as well as my family's time at Earlham first class from the day I arrived on campus. Thank you to AD Adam Hutchinson and assistant AD Nick Johnson for their continued mentorship and help preparing me over the years for this next chapter.  Lastly, thank you to the players, past and present, for your hard work and belief in me. Without your love and support this would not have been possible. Though the success on the field was plentiful, it is the bond that makes Earlham Baseball so special and I will take these experiences and memories with me forever."

"This is a wonderful opportunity for Mike to begin his head coaching career" Said Head Coach Steve Sakosits. "We are thankful for the eight years Mike has contributed to the EC baseball program, and will miss him in the dugout this spring."

Willam competes in the NorthWest Conference in NCAA Division III.
