TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Earlham College track and field team competed in the Friday Night Spikes meet hosted by Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. 

Both teams finished in fourth place on the evening, with the men scoring 44 points, and the women 29.

The Quakers will be back in action next weekend at the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship meet hosted by Mount St. Joseph.

Here are some of the top performances from the Quakers:

Liv Kyrk won the women's 400 meter dash, coming in with a time of 1:02.97. The time moves Kyrk into second place in the HCAC standings heading into the championship meet. 

Conner Kimball won the men's 800 meter run in a finishing time of 1:59.75. Kimball holds the third-fastest time in the conference so far this season. 

Madison Huelskamp took home second place in both the long jump, and the triple jump. She reached 4.81 meters in the long jump, and recorded 10.47 meters in the triple. 

The Quakers also took second place in the men's triple jump with Blessed Shumba recording a mark of 12.56 meters. 

Connor Del Carmen finished in second place in the mile run after posting a finishing time of 4:31.81. 

Alex Roberts finished in second place in the 3,000 meter run, and qualified for a spot in the championship meet with a time of 9:07.86. 

Elena Stirn scored points with a sixth-place finish in the mile run with a time of 5:56.56.

Micah Smith scored a fourth-place finish in the 200 meter dash with a finishing time of 23.91.
