CARMEL, Ind. – The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference announced on Monday that the Earlham College men's lacrosse team won both the Offensive Player of the Week, and Defensive Player of the Week honors for the past week of competition. 

Sam Sargent earned Offensive Player of the Week honors after leading the conference in goals and assists for the week. Sargent scored five goals and dished out three assists in competition this week. On the season, he is first in the conference in goals (9) and assists (8). 

Emmitt Shaughnessy earned Defensive Player of the Week honors for the second consecutive week after collecting 37 saves in the cage. Shaughnessy leads the HCLC in saves with over 15 per game. He also ranks top-5 in both save percentage and goals against average. 

The Quakers are off to their best start to a season in program history with a 2-1 record. They will be back in action this week at Wabash on Wednesday evening.
