CARMEL, Ind. — The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference announced on Monday the winners of the weekly Athlete of the Week awards. After going 2-0 in the home opener on Saturday, Earlham College sophomore Maddie Cherry earned the recognition for women's tennis. 

Cherry played at the No.1 singles spot where she won 6-1, 6-0 over Berea College. Cherry also joined forces with Saki Takizawa at No.1 doubles, where the pair won 8-2. 

The Quakers will continue their season this week at the PTR Spring Tennis Fest.
