Baseball sails past Mount St. Vincent in Florida

Box Score Fort Pierce, Florida – The Earlham College baseball team won their first game against College of Mount Saint Vincent. The Quakers first game in Florida was canceled due to weather as the Quakers are now 7-4 on the season.

The senior twins, Nathan Lancianese and Christian Lanciancse started the scoring early giving the Quakers a 2-run lead in the first inning. Earlham came back out in the third inning to put up 8 more runs and put the game out of reach. 

Cason Bennett started the game at pitcher and threw 7 complete innings with 5 strikeouts. Nick Carrizales pitched the last two innings to close out the game.

Mount Saint Vincent fought back with 4 runs total in the 4th and 5th inning.

Nathan Lanciancse went 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, 1 walk, 2 stolen bases and 4 RBIs.

The Quakers play a double-header tomorrow facing Francisan University to end their spring break schedule.
