Box Score 2 FORT PIERCE, Fla. – The Earlham College baseball team won their double header against Francisan. With the Quakers sweep in Florida they now move to 9-4 on the season with a 3-0 sweep during their Florida spring break trip.
Game One: Earlham 18 Francisan 9
The Quakers bats were hot all game all the scoring started in the second inning.
Sean Jeffries hit a three run home run giving the quakers a 5-0 lead. Next at bat,
Christian Lancianese hit a double and brother
Nathan Lancianese knocked him in with a triple himself. Earlham continued scoring in the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 7th inning.
Hayden Scalf started the game at pitcher and threw four complete innings with two strikeouts.
Nick Carrizales came in for two innings with
David Lally finishing the game.
Mitchell Roether added a 3-run homerun in the 4th inning and getting another RBI in the 7th.
Ian Bullis added two singles and a double.
Francisan earned three runs in the first inning and four runs in the 7th.
Game Two: Earlham 8 Francisan 0
Dillon Fischer started the game going seven complete shutout innings, with nine strikeouts, five hits, and no walks.
Freshman
Carter Vilevac and
Mitchell Roether had the first scores of the game coming in the second inning. Nathan Lancinesse had two doubles late in the game adding two RBI.
Sean Jeffries added a triple, single, and HBP playing a great defensive game.

The freshman bats stayed hot all week getting a 3-0 sweep during Earlhams Spring Break trip. The Quakers play Principia College March 21st before starting the conference schedule the following weekend.
