RICHMOND, Ind. – The Earlham College women's soccer team fell to Anderson University 3-1 in conference play on Wednesday afternoon.
The Ravens took the lead in the 11th minute of play, and scored again in the 20th minute for a 2-0 lead.
In the 38th minute,
Mallory Smith sent a cross along the face of the goal where
Mallory Rich connected for an Earlham score. The Quakers trailed 2-1 at halftime.
Anderson scored on a penalty kick in the 49th minute.
Smith led the Quakers in shots on the afternoon with three, she placed one on frame.
As a team, Earlham was outshot 25-12.
Makayla Hurey brought in 10 saves in goal. This marked the third double-digit save game of her season.
Earlham continues HCAC action on Saturday in Matlack-Messer Stadium against Mount St. Joseph University. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 pm.
