ANDERSON, Ind. – The Earlham College track and field team continued its indoor season at the AU Invite hosted by Anderson University on Saturday.
The Quakers finished in seventh place in the meet, with the men scoring 38 points, and the women scoring 30.
Select members of the track and field team will compete at the Grand Valley State Big Meet on Friday and Saturday next week.
Here are some of the top performances of the day for the Quake:
Abigail Kirby cleared 4' 11.75" to win the women's high jump.
Sophomore
Ethan Rose broke the school record in the 600 meter run with a time of 1:25.86. Rose won the event by nearly two seconds.
Owen Trotto also scored in the event, with a seventh-place finish.
Katelyn Trotto won the women's 600 meter run
David Turner finished in second place in the men's triple jump. The junior recorded a leap of over 38' in the event.
Levi Call finished the 3,000 meter run in fifth place with a tie of 10:25.75.
The men's 4x400 meter relay team of
Micah Williams,
Abraham Sadiq,
David Turner and Rose finished in third place with a total time of 3:44.74.
The women's 4x400 meter relay team ran a time of 4:36.9 to finish in second place overall.
Chloe Cook led off, followed by Trotto.
Oghenemaro Imieye ran third, and Kirby ran the anchor leg.
