RICHMOND, Ind. – The Earlham College women's soccer team began conference play with a 1-0 loss to Franklin College on Saturday.
Ealham outshot the Grizzlies 14-9, but couldn't get a shot past the Franklin goalkeeper.
Mallory Smith and
Quinn Doden led the offense with four shots each.
In goal,
Makayla Hurey collected four saves.
Franklin connected on the only goal of the match in the 33rd minute of play.
The Quakers continue Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference action next Saturday at Manchester University. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 pm.
