RICHMOND, Ind. – The Earlham College women's soccer team scored a 1-0 conference win over Franklin College in Matlack-Messer Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.
Mallory Smith scored the lone goal of the contest off of a through ball by
Selena Malave in the 16th minute of play.
Earlham outshot the Grizzlies 8-7, placing five shots on target.
Tessa Petty led the Quakers with two shots on goal.
Liz Godfrey kept the shutout with six saves in goal.
Earlham hosts Hanover College for its final home game on Saturday at 1 pm in Matlack-Messer Stadium. At 3-4 the Quakers currently sit in sixth place in the conference standings, with two games left to go in the season. Earlham will have a chance to face off against Berea College (2-4) next week in a match that could decide the final HCAC postseason team.
