ALBION, Mich. – The Earlham College women's tennis team defeated Albion College 6-1 in non-conference action on Sunday.
Vanessa Akuaku and
Lawrencia Manu led the way for the Quakers in doubles with a 6-2 win at the No.1 spot.
Mackenzie Davis and
Paige Hobbs won 6-0 in the No.2 spot to secure the doubles point for EC.
Akuaku took the win at No.1 singles 6-1, 6-1, while Manu scored a 6-0-, 6-2 win in No.2 singles. Davis won her No.3 matchup 6-4, 6-0, while Hobbs and
Natalee McCann won at No.4 and No.5 singles respectively.
In exhibition singles,
Ella Flottman-Mullen won 6-4, 4-6, 10-6,
Ava Marroni won 6-1, 6-0, and Isabel Torres Meija won 6-0, 6-0.
The Quakers continue play at home against Alma College during Homecoming on October 11th.
