TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Earlham College track and field team continued its outdoor season at the Early Bird Invitational hosted by Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.
As a team, the women finished in sixth place, scoring 38 points.
Isa Slone placed second in the women's long jump, reaching 4.96 meters (16' 3.25") to secure the podium spot. Giuliana Russell also placed, finishing in sixth.
Lex Gibson finished second in the women's javelin throw with a heave of 33.68 meters.
Russell also placed in the 200 meter dash, coming in seventh place with a time of 27.70.
Prynces Robinson finished in fifth place in the triple jump with a leap of 9.91 meters (32' 6.25").
Sofie Kurrasch ran a 1:23.53 in the 400 meter hurdles to take home eighth place, and one point for the Quakers.
Cleo Saltz ran a 5:04.21 in the 1500 meter run to take eighth place.
Competing in her first ever high jump competition,
Alex Ball placed sixth, clearing 1.3 meters (4' 3.25").
The men's 4x400 meter relay team of
Don Papa Fall,
Anthony Gough,
Ethan Rose, and
Owen Trotto finished in seventh place with a total time of 3:56.24.
The Quakers continue action next weekend at Berea College.
