BEREA, Ky. – The Earlham College track and field team continued competition at the Landon Bond Classic hosted by Berea College on Saturday.
The women placed in eighth overall, scoring 32 points in the meet. The men's team scored two.
Cleo Saltz earned a podium in the women's 5,000 meter run with a time of 19:21.45. The freshman finished nearly a full minute ahead of the fourth place finisher.
In the women's javelin throw,
Lex Gibson took second place with a throw of 33.57 meters (110' 1").
Sofie Kurrasch also placed with a heave of 25.2 meters. Kurrasch also placed seventh in the 400 meter hurdles with a finishing time of 1:22.7.
Prynces Robinson scored in both the long jump and the triple jump. The freshman scored second place in the triple jump, leaping 10.07 meters on her fourth attempt. Robinson placed third in the long jump with a mark of 4.69 meters.
Allanhirschrick Rojas Hernandez took eighth place in the men's 5,000 meter run, finishing in a time of 19:08.8.
Newcomer to the track and field program, Fabijan Bagaric placed eighth in the men's pole vault, clearing 2.3 meters.
The Quakers continue action next weekend at the JennaStrong Track and Field Invitational hosted by Wilmington College on Saturday.
