RICHMOND, Ind. – The Earlham College athletics department placed 10 athletes on the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District listings for the spring season.
Each year, CSC recognizes student athletes who demonstrate success in their sport and in the classroom with the Academic All-District and Academic All-America Teams. In order to be eligible, student athletes must post a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.5, while also meeting sport-specific athletic participation guidelines.
The Quaker baseball and softball teams led the way with four recipients each.
Sean Jeffries,
Mitchell Roether,
Garret Odey and
Reece Zonts earned the honor for baseball, while
Morgan Cooksey,
Ashley Lewis,
Emmerie Stump and
Shelby Hill were recognized from softball. Additionally, Cooksey was selected as a candidate for the Academic All-America team to be voted on by CSC members.
Madison Ruwersma placed on the all-district team for women's tennis, and
Dev Agrawal was honored for men's tennis.
The Quakers closed out a successful spring season in May, and will be back in action with the fall season starting on August 26 with women's golf competing at the Trine Fall Kick-Off Classic at Zollner Golf Course.
