NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The Earlham College women's soccer team fell 3-0 at St. Mary's College in its final game before the conference slate begins on Saturday.
St. Mary's scored its first goal in the 20th minute of play, leading 1-0 at halftime. The Belles scored again in the 48th and 51st minutes.
Earlham was narrowly outshot, with a 16-13 final line, and a 10-7 deficit in shots on goal.
Diane Scalise led the Quakers with four total shots, and two attempts on frame.
Mallory Smith and
Tessa Petty both tallied three shots. Six Quakers registered at least one shot on the day.
Liz Godfrey made seven saves in goal.
Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference action begins on Saturday as the Quakers host Manchester University in Matlack-Messer Stadium at 1 pm as part of a doubleheader with the Spartans.
